Horizons, tide pools, and water doing the work.
Water is the most reliable subject in landscape photography for a reason — it reflects, it refracts, it produces gradients no other surface does, and it fills a frame with movement without needing a subject. Coastal scenes end up being some of the easiest wallpapers to live with.
You'll find three distinct things in here. Wide coastal horizons, which are the best candidates on the site for ultrawide monitors and multi-screen spans. Close tide-pool and reef studies, which are dense, saturated and detailed all over. And harbour and dock frames at dusk, which sit somewhere between the two and carry the warmest colour in the set.
Tip: Ocean gradients — the sky-to-water transition especially — are where compression banding shows up most obviously. If you see stripes, the file was re-encoded somewhere.
