Mountain scenes give you something most subjects don't: real depth cues. Layered ridges fading into atmospheric haze produce a sense of distance on a flat panel that no amount of detail can fake, and it's why these images hold up at large sizes and high resolutions.
The set covers alpine sunrise, snow, glacier and aurora frames. The aurora images are the most striking and the most demanding — intense greens and violets over a dark landscape, which looks spectacular but will pull your system accent colour with it. The snow and winter frames are the opposite: very high key, very low saturation, and the closest thing here to a neutral background.
Tip: Layered ridgelines span across multiple monitors better than almost anything else, because the composition has no centre for a bezel to interrupt.
